This summer, we had the pleasure of returning to Peterley Manor Farm for another Paint Lab workshop. We’ve been lucky enough to be hosted at this
beautiful, family-run farm for the past two years, running a series of seasonal events for both children and adults. Each one has been unique, but they all share the same welcoming atmosphere that makes Peterley such a special place to gather and create.

Our most recent workshop took place in the outside barn kitchen, the perfect setting for a warm British summer evening. With spritzes in hand and canvases ready, we welcomed a full house of 20 guests. Some came along on their own, looking for a creative evening out, while others arrived in pairs or small groups. What we love most about these events is the way people connect – whether meeting new faces or sharing the experience with friends, everyone settles in quickly and the room soon fills with a relaxed, creative energy.
The theme for the evening was an “Orange tablescape”, a vibrant painting that worked beautifully with acrylic paints. Guests were guided through the process step by step, but with plenty of room to experiment and make each piece personal.

As always at Paint Lab events, we provided all the equipment – brushes, paints, aprons, and canvases – so nobody needed to worry about bringing anything other than themselves. By the end of the session, every guest walked away with their own finished canvas!
Working with Peterley Manor Farm is always a highlight for us. Their warm hospitality and stunning setting add so much to the experience and it’s clear why their events are such a hit with the local community. If you haven’t visited before, I’d really recommend keeping an eye on their website for upcoming happenings – from seasonal markets to workshops and, of course, more Paint Lab sessions.
We’re already looking forward to the next one and can’t wait to see what new themes and creative ideas will unfold. Here’s to many more years of painting, good company and inspiring settings at Peterley.
