Celebrating the launch of Stonor Valleys Vineyards new English Sparkling

Updated: Sep 23

This summer, we were delighted to host a Paint Lab workshop at the beautiful Stonor Valley Vineyard, nestled in the rolling valleys near Henley-on-Thames. The vineyard itself is steeped in history, having been family-run since 1955, and it continues to carry that warm, welcoming family spirit in everything they do.

What made this workshop extra special was the setting: Emily has recently converted the old chicken barn into a brand-new cellar door wine tasting room. Over the summer of 2025, it quickly became a hot spot for locals, offering a stunning place to enjoy English wine in the heart of the countryside. Alongside the vineyard, Emily also produces her own honey and is home to the infamous sunflower fields, which have become a seasonal favourite and a must-visit for many in the area. Be sure to follow their journey on Instagram — this is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the vineyard.

We welcomed 20 guests for the evening, some coming on their own, others in pairs and small groups, all gathering to enjoy an evening of creativity and wine. The theme was inspired by the vineyard itself: a wine-themed painting to reflect the setting. Emily opened the night by sharing her story and introducing the vineyard’s new English sparkling wine, before we guided the group through creating their own wine themed paintings.

This evening was all about celebrating creativity in many forms — from the artistry behind Emily’s sparkling wine to the joy of seeing people who hadn’t painted since school pick up a brush again and reconnect with their creativity. As the sun set over the valley, the barn filled with the soft glow of candlelight, and the group carried on painting well into the evening. It was a truly a lovely event — one of those summer nights that we’ll always remember!

We can’t wait to return to Stonor Valley Vineyard for more evenings like this in summer 2026.
